Last week we held a REP meeting for Westbury Estate sharing a design update.
The REP meeting was attended by the 3 teams on Architects involved in designing Westbury Estate and the landscape architect.
The team presented work in progress around the following themes and asked the REP for feedback.
0. Refinements to the masterplan
1. Approaches to entrances to the new homes
2. Approaches to external materials for the new homes
3. Approaches to balconies
4. Approaches to open space and play provision
5. Approaches to parking
6. Approaches to vehicle movement
7. Approaches to the boundary with Heathbrook Park
We also talked through how the work produced is aiming to respond to the Residents' Brief produced by Westbury Residents with CABE Built Environment Expert Kay Hughes in October 2015.
The material shared can be viewed here or is available in No. 7 Fovant Court at any of our upcoming drop in sessions.
We understand that these are important themes that impact on the whole estate and neighbours to Westbury so the ideas shown this month will be refined on the basis of feedback we have received but there are other opportunities to influence these ideas. We really want to hear from as many of you as possible so we hope you can attend one of our upcoming activities.
The next REP meeting is on the 11th January and is open to all residents of Westbury Estate. RSVP here.
Following this we have two public drop in sessions where all residents and neighbours of Westbury Estate are invited to see the design work, talk to the team and provide feedback. The events will be held on Wednesday 18th January 6pm - 8pm RSVP here and Saturday 21st January 2pm - 5pm. RSVP here.
Alternatively people are welcome to e-mail feedback directly to Westbury@make-good.com or phone 0800 0720 265 and talk to a member of the resident engagement team.
