We consulted with residents from September through to November last year on the details of the new Lifetime Assured Tenancy and leases which Homes for Lambeth (HfL) would offer residents when they moved into their new homes on the rebuilt estate.
The results of this consultation, along with changes to the details of the tenancy and leases, were discussed by the council’s Cabinet on 22 January. At this meeting, the terms of the agreements were agreed.
As a result of the consultation process, a number of changes were made to these agreements. These included for existing secure tenants a contractual right to buy, and for lease changes on a diverse range of issues including sub-letting, flooring, pets, and carrying out alterations.
Details can be downloaded on from the links below:
Printed copies can be collected from your estate’s engagement hub and, in a couple of weeks’ time we will publish the final agreements and will make them available to residents directly.
At the same meeting, the council Cabinet approved HfL business plan which you can download from here.
Again, copies can be collected from each estate's engagement hub.
Both these decisions are significant steps toward delivering our pledge to build better homes for current residents, more homes to help tackle the housing crisis in the borough, as well as housing commitments made in the Key Guarantees.
