A huge thank you to the 33 people who attended the Housing Design Principles Exhibition yesterday on Knight's Walk.
The Council has developed Housing Design Principles for the new homes that will be built for a range of tenures. In building new homes, the Council will be taking a longterm view; homes that fit well into the neighbourhood and stand the test of time; they need to create a positive legacy for a future Lambeth; they need to be high quality, low maintenance and low energy. And they need to help create and support resilient mixed neighbourhoods for everyone.
All Knight's Walk residents will receive a hard copy of the principles from Lambeth in the coming week.
Members of the newly appointed Development Management Team also attended to meet residents and neighbours of Knight's Walk Estate and hear people's ideas, comments and concerns first hand. Catherine, Resident Engagement Lead for Knight's Walk, collected feedback and will be making sure that the whole team are aware of the comments made.
The Development Management Team will be working on the scenario approved by cabinet in November 2015 and the exhibition included a reminder of Scenario 2D which involves the partial redevelopment of Knight's Walk.
We look forward to continuing the conversations with residents of Knight's Walk at the next Resident Engagement Panel meeting on the 6th June, RSVP here, and with surrounding residents at our first neighbours meeting on the 21st July, RSVP here.
