On Saturday 1st October, residents from Fenwick estate met the four potential development management teams who are bidding to work on the redevelopment of the Fenwick estate.
The Council is taking forward plans for the future of Fenwick Estate to provide more and better homes for the borough. The next step is to select a development management team that will develop detailed plans for the estate and we want residents to be involved in selecting that team. Last night the Council’s Cabinet met to discuss the proposed redevelopment of the Fenwick Estate and it was resolved that full redevlopment will take place. This means that all the blocks on the estate (except for the odd-numbered homes on Willington Road) will be demolished in a phased basis to make way for the redevelopment of the Estate. The redevelopment will re-provide all the existing homes and deliver additional new homes.Read more

We are pleased to announce that a group of residents from the Fenwick Estate Resident Engagement Panel (REP) have interviewed three firms of Independent Residents Advisors (IRAs) recently, and have chosen Strategic Urban Future (StUF) to support the residents on the estate through the regeneration process.
The IRAs can offer independent advice and signposting to all residents affected by the regeneration proposals on a range of housing, financial and legal issues.Read more
