On Saturday 1st October, residents from Fenwick estate met the four potential development management teams who are bidding to work on the redevelopment of the Fenwick estate.
Despite the rain in the morning, over 52 households attended the event and and gave their feedback on the four short-listed teams: Arcadis, Karakusevic Carson Architects, Mott Macdonald and Mace.
Each team showed examples of similar projects they had worked on, and residents were able to meet and speak to the individuals who would work at Fenwick Estate, if selected. Each resident was then asked to score the teams on their design track record, staff, community engagement and development experience.
What happens next?
The scores that residents gave the teams will be added up with scores from the Resident Panel interviews and scores from the Council's review of the written bids to select the chosen team. We are expecting to announce the winning team in December.
The successful team will work with residents to design the new estate and will submit the planning application for these designs. If planning permission is granted the team will also plan and oversee the delivery of the new homes.
