As we hope you will remember, a few months ago residents of the Westbury Estate were invited to a Development Management exhibition. At this exhibition, residents were able to quiz and score the different teams competing to lead on developing and designing the scheme for your estate.
After an extensive process, which included these scores and interviews with members of your Resident Engagement Panel, we are pleased to announce the Council has appointed a consortium of companies lead by Tibbalds Campbell Reith Joint Venture. They scored the highest marks for quality in their bid and were ranked the highest by residents who interviewed them. You can find out more about this consortium via:
What happens now?
There is a lot of detailed work that needs to happen on the Westbury Estate before any rebuilding takes place. However, this is an important step as it means that a team of experts will now be in place to work with you to design the new homes and estate. Building homes for Lambeth. The new Westbury Estate will need to stand the test of time and to ensure this happens, Lambeth will shortly be launching 'Housing design principles for Lambeth' which will set out the ten design principles that will be met by every new home that we will build.
This will set out the design standards that will be met by every new home that we build. We would like to invite you to come along and find out more about these standards and meet the team from Tibbalds Campbell Reith Joint Venture who will be working with you.
