Ultimately, it could be. However, the council has no intention of doing so. In addition, Homes for Lambeth’s own rules will safeguard the council’s long-term commitment to prioritising the needs of Lambeth’s communities. The council will require that any proposed sale of part of all of Homes for Lambeth (and any of its companies) be subject to a ‘triple lock’ of approvals: the unanimous agreement of the HfL board, a unanimous vote of full Cabinet; and a 2/3rd vote of Full Council approval.
